The big draw here at the lake is the lake itself, especially in the summertime! However, variety is the spice of life and there are serious golfers here too!
There are currently two semi-public and two private eighteen hole golf courses at the Lake, as well as another partially built and in the process of expanding.
The two semi-public courses are:
Mariner's Landing in Huddleston near the State Park, 6,902 yards, par 72. (540) 297-7888

The Waterfront in the Scruggs area off of 616 South, 6,694 yards, par 71. Membership is no longer restricted to owners of property in the Waterfront subdivision.(540) 721-2653

Sycamore Ridge is a public course that is in flux right now. It is best to call before you go. It has nine holes fully open and the back nine has recently opened & the grass is growing in nicely! They are located in Goodview on 655. (540) 297-6490.
A par three course has been mentioned for the Westlake area. There are two eighteen hole courses in the early planning stages - a second course at Mariner's Landing and one at the Sunset Cay development on Hendrick's Store Road on the Bedford side of the lake.

Hot Shots is on 122 in the Westlake area. Also has bumper boats!
The YMCA has an increasing presence at the lake. The Franklin County YMCA recently opened its expanded lake facility in the LakeWatch community with exercise equipment, classes, indoor tennis and basketball. They hope to be able to add an indoor pool in the coming years.
The Bedford YMCA's Moneta facility has recently relocated to the Cardiac Care Center in the Mayberry commercial complex while its permanent home is being built.
